.NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME extension is the sole TLD intended for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed third-level domains remained working.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific terms on who can get a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your native language.
